Research & Development Approach

Ace Global Heights constantly focuses on innovative research and evolving new developments to keep pace with the demands of modern life. Bio-reactors to create energy from waste; space and energy saving toilet systems for our modern smart cities; telecommunications towers that are invisible to radio waves; fire safe composite infrastructures that provide safety and comfort to the public; just some of the recent developments that are contributing towards everyday life.

Our research & development approach centres in three strategic approach, which includes:

Ace Global Heights has a long and strong tradition of participating in national and international research projects. This is an efficient approach for staying ahead and establishes good relations to major research institutes, leading customers, and test facilities. Research has mainly been within the areas of material characterization and testing, bonding, structural surveillance and monitoring, non-destructive testing, vessel design, fire safety/fire properties, risk analysis, and finally classified topics like e.g. radar signature (absorption/reflection), electromagnetic shielding, blast and fragment resistance and underwater shock resistance.


Material Testing & Characterization

Testing and characterization of composite materials is a field of expertise which is absolutely necessary to be able to perform, understand, develop, and produce optimized composite constructions/structures.

Ace Global Heights boasts a fully equipped test centre, to support the needs of our customers and partners. Full mechanical testing and product performance testing capabilities are supplemented with the most sophisticated material analysis equipment. 

Ace Global Heights  has close collaboration with the mechanical test facilities/laboratories at Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON), National Agency for Science & Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), National Automotive Council Nigeria (NACN), Federal Institute of Industrial Research (FIIRO), etc. Ace Global also has a history of relations with several institutes around Europe as e.g. COMPOSITE EUROPE, Germany, JEC World, Paris, France, 

The testing conducted by Ace Global Heights aids the development of new products as well as verifying the quality of existing products.  Through mechanical testing the absolutely necessary material parameters (strength and stiffness in the main directions of the laminates) are determined. The testing is performed after European (ISO) or American (ASTM) standards and consists of several different types of tests. After the testing is performed, it is a long and complex mathematical and theoretical path from these results to the layer -material data necessary to be able to perform complex analysis, and through them, optimizes any composite construction (geometric and material design working together).

The mechanical testing not only provides necessary data, but also a quality assurance of the reinforcements, resins and production method applied by the yard or workshop. Testing of structural parts as joints (T- and L-joints, overlap- joints, but –joints, etc.) also tells if the produced items behave as desired and has the necessary strength.
